John Rushton sailed on 'Frederick Clover' for R & R when R.A.F. aircraft were grounded. Looks positively luxurious compared to the Auby!

*** Completed for the Royal Navy as L.S.T. 3001 (3) type. She went to the War Office on the 31st October 1946 becoming Frederick Clover. Transferred to M.O.T., Atlantic Steam Navigation as managers in 1952. Came under British India management in April of 1961 and remained as such until sold to Philippine American Shipping Corp of Panama in 1966 becoming Pacific Pioneer. Scrapped in Hong Kong December 1968.***
